I am a journalist, editor, novelist, and educator specializing in stories that explore identity, community, and the stories that connect us.

As a journalist for J. The Jewish News of Northern California, I cover literature, culture, education, families, and community life across the San Francisco Bay Area. My reporting and columns often highlight local authors, children’s literature, and the experiences of queer and disabled people within Bay Area communities.

I also serve as an editorial reader for Good River Review, where I evaluate literary submissions and take part in the collaborative process of selecting work for publication.

Before moving into media and publishing, I spent more than a decade working in education. I hold a Master of Education in Children’s Literature and am currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing for Children and Young Adults.

As a novelist, I craft stories that reflect today’s youth, whether they unfold in our world or in worlds filled with dragons, magic, and spaceships. My work centers on neurodivergent, disabled, and queer characters, bringing lived experience and an educator’s perspective to stories about belonging, identity, and growing up.

I believe every young person deserves to see themselves in the books they read.
